Job Profile
The company is hiring a Welder II (Honeycomb) who will be responsible for TIG Welding and performing maintenance and alteration tasks on components in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government, and industry-standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the Aviation Authority as required.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Builds up the worn or defective surfaces by welding and blending to specifications
- Cleans and prepares work surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks welded components
- Conducts repair of sheet metal or composite surfaces, and checks for corrosion, distortion, and cracks.
- Daily inspection, Cleaning, and Preventative maintenance of all Welding equipment
- Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment
- Observes and follow all safety procedures while using appropriate safety equipment when applicable.
- Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment as required and record accurately
- Performs grinding and blending with different pneumatic, electric, and hand tools.
- Performs visual inspections and make the necessary adjustment to conform to job specifications
- Plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements based on the instructions, prints, and work orders received for the job
- Pre-measure and post-measure parts with required tooling and gauges and record in records, router.
- Prepare and pre-set all tools needed for Welding operations performing safety checks on all equipment before using
- Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record, router.
- Records information accurately on each component worked
- Responsible for equipment set up procedure; Set up and maintain equipment parameters
- Responsible to be thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used within their assigned area of responsibility.
- Set up and operate all common welding machine equipment.
- Using burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
- Verifies that Welded parts conform to specifications
- Works from blueprints, drawings, and or Technical manuals to produce a variety of items
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly; responsible for cleaning and prepping own parts
