Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Welding Engineer who will apply knowledge of welding processes, welding design, metallurgy, nondestructive and destructive testing, and welding quality control to support Product Teams’ welding activities.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized college/university

Work Experience

• Possess 0 to 2 or more years of relevant experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Collaborate with functional groups at multiple manufacturing sites to promote global product manufacturing consistency.
• Ensure processes and quality systems meet program requirements.
• Identify any health or safety concerns related to welding equipment or technology. Recognizes precautions to avoid potential injury.
• Interact frequently with suppliers and vendors on welding/metallurgy properties to resolve product quality concerns.
• Oversee Welding Procedure and Personnel Qualifications
• Participate in the qualification and documentation of new or changed products, processes, and purchased materials.
• Serve as the site weld coordinator by applying metallurgy/welding experience and industry standards to develop and deploy defined programs.
• Support site Non-destructive Testing (NDT) requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• A welding Engineer or Metallurgical Engineer degree is preferred
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT)
• Equipment selection and set-up, welding design, or welding manufacturing experience
• Experience with ASME and ISO welding qualification standards.
• Experience with manual and automatic welding processes, including GTAW and resistance welding
• International Welding Engineer, AWS Certified Welding Engineer, AWS CWI, or NDT certifications are all beneficial
