Job Profile

The company is looking to hire a Welding Production Supervisor who will be responsible for assigning daily job responsibilities to operate personnel; managing material and company equipment to meet the customers’ specifications; meeting production schedules; training and developing teams to enhance quality and efficiency; coordinating with other supervisors to assign resources based on production priorities; and adhering to PCX’s company safety policies.

Actively participates in the PCX quality program, including KANBAN inspection scheduling and in-process inspections, and is knowledgeable in the project process flow, working with the engineering department during project planning and execution.

Ensures that all work adheres to engineering and quality specifications and is performed according to PCX safety standards.

Other responsibilities include maximizing production throughput, maintaining quality standards and records, and continuously improving to reduce costs.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have an Associate’s Degree in a Technical discipline or equivalent (college/university)

Work Experience

  • Possess 3 to 5 years of supervision experience in a non-union environment
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in structural welding and fabrication
  • ADP eTime experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assign daily job responsibilities on a day-to-day basis to achieve production schedules and performance objectives
  • Ensure that all PCX standard operating procedures are followed to meet customer specifications
  • Maintain housekeeping standards on a regular basis
  • Meet regularly with team members to discuss safety and production performance
  • Monitor rework and labor efficiency on a daily basis to achieve company targets
  • Must be able to read and understand posted bulletins, regulations, rule books, manufacturer manuals, mechanical/electrical drawings, and work instructions
  • Responsible for ensuring quality standards are aligned with PCX Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2015 standards met, and control plans followed with appropriate documentation and record keeping
  • Responsible for training personnel in customer requirements, standard operating procedures, and company safety policies
  • Work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships
  • Work with team members to identify continuous improvement opportunities

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Competent working within the Microsoft Office suite
  • Disciplined in 5S and lean six (6) sigma principles a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (preferred)
