Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welding/Repair Technician who will weld, fabricate, and repair a wide variety of metal structures from oral directions, sketches, or drawings.

Must be able to inspect own finished welds to meet company standards.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, a High School Diploma (a plus)

Work Experience

  • Welding experience (Arc, Tig, Mig) required

License/Certification

  • Certified welders (preferred but not required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Completes all reports and forms for service operations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Ensure all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamwork
  • Ensure the manager is aware of any issues that can impact customer satisfaction or billing
  • Fabricate and repair a wide variety of metal structures and equipment
  • Follow all company and common-sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment
  • Maintain good condition and cleanliness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment including the return of tools to storage areas
  • Participate in all requested job-related training and development, as well as take an active interest in improving skills with other training programs
  • Perform a basic inspection of the project and determine what repairs are needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and complete standard records

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds as required without assistance
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used in service shops (forklifts, hydraulic lifts, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
  • Strong organizational skills

Work Environment

  • Exposure to fumes, sparks, and high temperatures
  • May need to wear heavy protective gear and eye protection
  • Often works in noisy, hot, or outdoor environments
  • Requires standing, bending, and lifting for long periods
  • Sometimes works in confined spaces or at heights
