The company is searching for a Welding Shop Foreman to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants require a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Possess 3 to 5+ years of experience in a similar supervisory role in the commercial construction industry.
- Warehouse experience and overall familiarity with Division 8 and 10 scopes of work are considered strong assets.
Duties/Responsibilities
Warehouse/Fabrication
- Consistently leading the error-free execution of tasks in all of our manufacturing, processing, and action planning activities; and consistent utilization of the corporate support systems.
- Constantly evaluate all major work processes and practices to ensure that you create the best possible value for the customers and reduce waste.
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of manufacturing/production and warehouse staff to ensure total quality service is provided to all departments.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly use of CP360 for completion of safety and quality control forms as required in the warehouse and as defined by the CP Distributors Safety Manual.
- Ensuring there are effective support systems in place to accurately identify and track quality, production efficiency, and customer needs.
- In cooperation with our Branch Manager and Management Team establish identifiable goals for your department based on customer value, and total quality and develop an action plan to ensure success.
- Monitoring and reporting to the Management Team all information regarding inventory levels, forecasting, and use of resources to optimize the efficiency of the manufacturing, production, and warehouse operation.
- Taking the lead in production and warehouse efficiency, teamwork, and quality of all products and services delivered to our customers.
- Use sound management practices including planning, teamwork, performance management, monitoring and feedback, and relevant, accurate, and user-friendly information to help all employees make good decisions.
Internal/External Customer Service
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required.
- Maintain positive, effective relations with all other personnel and departments in the company.
Product Knowledge/Skill Development
- Consistently setting a personal example of leadership.
- Constantly updating product knowledge.
- Ensure that there is staff being trained to meet the current and future needs of your department.
- Participating in all corporate training programs and actively pursuing continual improvement professionally and personally.

- Broad technical knowledge in hollow metal door fabrication and hardware.
