Job Profile
The company is seeking a Wire Welder who will be responsible for the set-up and overall operation of the Wire Welder and the quality of the work produced.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants require a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment
- A minimum of 6 months of experience setting up machines
Duties/Responsibilities
- Completes proper ID tags with the shop order number, part number, quantity, and operation number
- First article and regular quality checks are required throughout the shift
- Frequently matches the parts to the prints for accuracy
- Maintains assigned work areas in a clean and orderly fashion
- Makes all necessary adjustments to the MIG welder per job specifications
- Must be able to maintain the required adjusted average efficiency
- Operates forklift, as necessary
- Responsible for housekeeping around the machine area
- Reviews work order and pull jigs (as relevant) and order parts needed for the specific job during the setup process
- Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment required for machine/department
- Performs other duties, as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring equipment preferred
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment and individually
- Forklift Certification required
