Job Profile

The company is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic A who will be able to demonstrate a high level of performance with advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques and is able to effect complex repairs and/or rebuilds as a result.

Supports the installation and development of maintenance functions to new or reconfigured electrical and mechanical equipment.

Works with production processes to offer technical advisement or coordinates modifications to existing equipment to optimize performance through process improvement initiatives.

Also, perform all the duties assigned to lower pay grades, as needed.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have completed a 2-year Certificate program or Associate’s Degree in related fields (college/university)

Work Experience

  • Possess 10 years of the equivalent of Industrial Maintenance experience
  • 5 years of advanced Industrial Maintenance experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Maintenance hand tools, portable power tools, protective equipment, shop equipment, machines such as power saws, drills or hydraulic presses, milling machines, lathes, band saws, pipe threading machines, ladders, scaffolding, cranes, forklifts, tractors, access platforms, hand and other lift trucks, arc and gas welding and cutting equipment, meters, testers, switches, electric outlet and junction boxes, transformers, simple metering devices such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal imagery equipment, circuit tracking meters, and megohmmeters, fiber optic signal transmission, load banks, and thermal measurement devices.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Install and debug complex CNC control systems through the use of advanced techniques and utilization of internal and external diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Preventative maintenance (PM) and or repairs on the electrical and mechanical system(s) within the plant and or on production machinery.
  • Preventative maintenance or minor repairs on plant machinery and equipment, including hydraulic systems on production machinery.
  • Preventative maintenance and or repairs on pneumatic controls for building systems and or production machinery.
  • Requisition parts and materials as directed
  • Troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Work from electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, or diagnostic software.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Basic familiarity with CNC programming languages
  • Excellent computer skills (required)
  • Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, ladder diagrams, and PLC logic
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English
  • Strong background in technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs
