Job Profile

The company is looking for an Assembler who will operate machines completing one or more processes toward the manufacturing of exhaust pipe assemblies and components.

Perform as an active team member in supporting and performing all the tasks within a cell group.

Load, unload, or operate automatic MIG welding stations or other production-related equipment at a standardized production rate and maintain operation functions.

Support production operations by contributing to process improvement and efficiency plans.  Perform other essential duties as assigned.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Cleans machined parts.
  • Ensures Tenneco produces quality products and has the authority to stop production in order to correct quality problems.
  • Follows environmental policies and procedures and communicates concerns and issues to management.
  • General housekeeping of the line
  • Inspects and gages machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Lifts work-piece manually or using a hoist and secures work piece in a fixture or loads automatic feeding device.
  • Moves machine controls and guides to adjust the machine.
  • Operate various machines on a designated line
  • Participation in manufacturing concepts of 5-S, Lean, etc.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the line/shift to ensure only quality parts are being produced
  • Rotate from station to station as outlined by Team Leader
  • Starts machine, engages feed and observes operation.

  • Effective communication skills are required, both verbal and written
  • Follow all negotiated changes, projects, and orders through to full completion
