Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for ensuring production areas or functions to which the incumbent is assigned receive prompt, efficient, and quality service from the maintenance function while maintaining the production equipment of the facility.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants require a High School Diploma or GED
- AA in Industrial Technology or Maintenance (a plus)
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 5+ years of work experience with industrial maintenance, preferably in the food industry
- 5 to 7 years of PLC experience in an industrial environment
- Electrical 480 3-phase motors, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience
- Advanced experience with CMMS system
Duties/Responsibilities
- Calibrate all plant instrumentation in a wide variety of makes and types of specifications
- Complete preventive maintenance work orders
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices at all times, including good housekeeping
- Perform electrical duties
- Program/design PC programs for existing plant systems and capability of reconstruction or updating programs
- Work with industrial electricity to troubleshoot and repair electrical components and machinery including all three phases; 480 3-phase, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals and CAD drawings
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to work in high-noise areas and extreme temperature changes
- Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals and wear personal protective equipment as required
- Must be able to communicate well between the production department, other maintenance technicians, and department management
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions
- Must be able to read and comprehend procedures and manuals
- Must be willing to support a 24/7 operation by being available to work weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC, SLC, CAD, CMMS execution (SAP a plus)
- Sound independent judgment and decision-making capability
- The position requires standing, walking, climbing up steps/ladder, and lifting seventy pounds
