Job Profile
The company is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for implementing the product design in manufacturing most efficiently.
Not only new processes but also existing processes are continuously reviewed, and improvement measures are implemented in close cooperation with adjacent areas.
Education Level
- Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or Mechatronic engineering.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in Manufacturing, Automotive field preferred
- Injection mold process experience is an asset
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous improvement of current processes to meet manufacturing targets and exceed them
- Ensure ECR & MCR are followed up and implemented as projected
- Fulfill assigned primary, secondary, and or tertiary deputy/backup roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business.
- Leading a Safety-first approach to maintaining a zero-accident culture. Ensures and monitors work, accident prevention, and a safe working environment across the business.
- Responsible for the development/installation of the needed manufacturing and packaging equipment and packaging proposal (expendable and returnable) to meet project goals. (process specialization – welding, assembly, Robotics, Vision system, tooling)
- Responsible for the development and release of all manufacturing documents (PFMEA, Process Flow charts, Work Instructions, Control plans, Feasibility studies)
- Responsible to support and deliver new manufacturing technologies to improve competitiveness and project profitability
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Fanuc robot programming/troubleshooting is an asset
- Allen Bradley PLC/HMI programming is an asset
- Electrical control system design and application (PLC, Servo/stepper motor application design and programming, working knowledge of robotic applications, working knowledge of PCs and MS Office application software)
- Vision system programming
- Working knowledge of design and application for the design of machine elements (problem-solving techniques for stress analysis, pneumatic and hydraulic power systems design application, kinematics and mechanism concepts and design, ability to read, understand, and create engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance)
