Duties/Responsibilities

The required functions are as follows-

  • Assist in making annual capital equipment budget
  • Collect/analyze manufacturing data and metrics
  • Coordinate/communicate with other departments
  • Create standard operating procedures for manufacturing operations
  • Design fixtures/tooling for machining, welding, and pressure testing processes
  • Determine in-house manufacturing capabilities
  • Develop cost-saving measures and quality control systems
  • Develop new manufacturing methods, equipment, and processes
  • Direct/coordinate technical personnel
  • Ensure all tooling and related work processes comply with safety standards
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain research/activity documentation and prepare reports
  • Perform experimental welding for new techniques, equipment, and materials evaluation
  • Provide functional/technical support
  • Reduce overall costs through tooling/process improvements
  • Research/develop new processes, equipment, and products
  • Support the purchasing department, vendors, and subcontractors as needed
  • Support/lead strategic projects to bring new manufacturing capabilities
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
