Job Profile
The company is seeking a Production Assembler who will be responsible for assembling and testing production for the aviation industry with a focus on maintaining the highest quality, safety, and on-time delivery of goods to customers.
Education Level
- High School Diploma
Work Experience
- Experience in a production environment
- Experience with SAP (a plus)
- Familiarity with wiring harnesses, soldering, drilling, AC & DC currents
- Prior electromechanical assembly experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist engineering with prototype builds.
- Assist engineering with resolving assembly complications.
- Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
- Document assemblies by completing production and quality forms.
- Follow safe work practices and procedures and ensure a “safety first” culture in every task undertaken.
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Maintain the tools used to create products.
- Test finished products for proper operation.
- Upon completion of a work order, transfer the product to Quality Control
- Work with Quality Control on the maintenance of calibrated equipment.
- Prepares to complete each assembly work order specifically according to –
- CAD drawings and other engineering blueprints
- proper hand and power tools and PPE
- standard operating procedure
- technical work instructions and specifications
- wiring diagrams
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and carefully follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good computer skills, such as the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Work Environment
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and sometimes chemicals
- Fast-paced, repetitive tasks on assembly lines
- May require standing for long hours
- Teamwork and meeting production quotas are essential
- Use of safety gear like gloves, goggles, or ear protection
