Education Level
- Associate Degree, or relevant machinist experience
Work Experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in machining, manufacturing, or equipment repair (preferred)
- Strong mechanical background and familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
License/Certification
- Machinist Certificate
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on cutting-edge high-speed machinery.
- Contribute to manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies using manual mill, lathe, and drill press when needed.
- Generate detailed inspection and field service reports, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Operate dynamic balancing machines to ensure precision and performance.
- Provide remote assistance to customers via telephone, demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Travel to spray drying facilities in North America to provide hands-on instructional training and perform inspections and repairs.
- Disassembling, cleaning, and inspection of rotary atomizers in the Columbia, MD workshop and at customer facilities. Machining of parts on the mill and lathe. Balancing of shafts and other components of the atomizer.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret instruction manuals, assembly drawings, and machining drawings.
- Comfortable working with chemicals and cleaning solvents associated with machine repair.
- Experience with dynamic balancing equipment, lathe operation, and manual milling.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic machine shop equipment (mill, lathe, drill press, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Service-minded with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel within the US, Canada, and overseas on short notice.

- Exposure to noise, metal shavings, and lubricants
- Follows strict safety protocols and uses protective gear
- May stand for long periods and lift heavy parts
- Operates heavy machinery and precision tools
- Works in workshops, factories, or on-site locations
