Job Profile
The company is searching for a Production Engineer who will be responsible for production support, process/product development, and optimization of Aerospace and Industrial gas turbine systems for New Product Introduction (NPI), Repair, and OEM businesses.
Lead moderate scope project teams developing new designs, repairs, and processes; utilizing Lean tools and methodologies to positively impact the business metrics.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Engineering in a general Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or related engineering subject.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine engineering is preferred
- Experience developing/maintaining processes related to repairing aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine components (brazing, plating, coating, and welding)
- Experience in supporting tangible improvements through process design, best practices, and technology projects in a collaborative environment.
- Experience using Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies to positively impact the business metrics
- Previous experience supporting the development of technical solutions for product development/production support, and the ability to support the improvement of product maturity
- Demonstrated experience in using effective problem-solving tools to drive sustainable solutions
- Knowledgeable in working with FAA regulations or a similar regulated environment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Apply Continuous Improvement tools and concepts to process and manufacturing systems
- Assist in making technical decisions on product/process design
- Assist in the development of new and repaired turbine, compressor, and combustor components
- Collaborate effectively with various internal teams to develop and repair
- Identify, develop, and implement tooling/equipment improvements. Troubleshoot process/production
- Own technical aspects of assigned processes, continually driving process improvements and reliability
- Prepare accurate written technical reports, specifications, procedures, and manuals
- problems and implement solutions
- Produce and deliver presentations of work to external and internal stakeholders
- Use project management skills to lead assigned projects/programs to successful completion
