Job Profile
The company is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for a variety of complex technical engineering assignments, including specification review, equipment selection, and execution of projects from receipt of purchase order through start-up and commissioning, and the success of the mechanical engineering and commissioning of installations.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or civil engineering from an accredited university
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of experience in the wastewater industry (a plus)
- SolidWorks or AutoCAD experience
- Experience with AutoCAD Inventor, Plant 3D, or Revit (a plus)
License/Certification
- Currently have PE or working towards PE certification (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Answer technical design and assembly questions from sales, the customer, and production.
- Assist in problem-solving during site installation and assembly.
- Conduct basic calculations and provide technical specifications for installation projects.
- Create datasheets, Supplier Document Requirement Lists (SDRL), and Inspection and Test plans (ITP).
- Create designs for installations using design software.
- Draft, check, and release bills of materials and processing articles in the ERP system.
- Ensure technical coordination and consultation between the various engineering disciplines and Project Management.
- Ensure work is carried out following the project scope and planning.
- Facilitate requested test material from customers and coordinate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
- Prepare material requests for purchase.
- Request a list of spare parts, assembly hours, engineering hours, and prices of components.
- Responsible for layouts, hydraulic profiles, PFDs, P&IDs, Pipe routings, Basic Civil designs, and basic steel structure designs
- Review the mechanical aspects of contracts and quotations.
- Test and review designs for compliance with specifications, manufacturability, and standardized principles.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor

- Ability to solve problems using critical thinking, scientific, and analytical skills
- Able to work overtime as required
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills working within teams
- Must be authorized to work for a U.S. employer

Work Environment
- Balances desk work with field inspections or supervision
- Exposed to noise, machinery, and construction settings when on-site
- Must follow strict safety protocols and wear protective gear when needed
- Typically follows regular hours, with occasional overtime
- Works in office and on-site industrial environments
