Job Profile

The company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the production process to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of products.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience (required)

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Aids in the creation, review, and approval of engineering packages to be used for welding, machining, or fabrication.
  • Design to value: improve new and existing manufacturing drawings for ease of manufacturing and reduction in cost without affecting form, fit, and function.
  • Develop standard labor hours and optimization of those hours.
  • Documents potential risks or shortfalls in future state processes
  • Manages work to ensure that deliverables are met within schedule and budget.
  • Participate in the transformation into a data-driven organization.
  • Participates in the definition of action plans, training of relevant maintenance and production teams, and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.
  • Report progress, visibility on loading, and KPI’s.
  • Review of new manufacturing drawings for release
  • Support Application in cost estimations.
  • Support manufacturing “red lines” – incorporate minor manufacturing design change request(s) without disrupting manufacturing operations.
  • Support purchasing: prepare the scope of supply, to include instructions and drawings for suppliers.
  • Support the aftermarket department with tasks such as finding replacements for obsolete parts, etc.
  • Update or emplace manufacturing work instructions plant-wide.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to translate design intent into efficient processes and tooling while creating readable, detailed drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • The ability to safely use basic hand tools, mill or lathe, or welding experience is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Exposed to machinery, noise, and moving equipment
  • May work extended hours to meet production deadlines
  • Splits time between office tasks and the manufacturing floor
  • Wears protective gear and follows safety standards
  • Works in factories, plants, or production facilities
