Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Manufacturing Support Services Technician who will be responsible for a variety of manufacturing support functions in Valmont’s NA Pole Operations, including, but not limited to, the routing of parts and orders for multiple sites, maintenance and control of standard Valmont routes, time studies, and CNC files for various equipment.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma and 5+ years of work/educational experience
  • Associate’s Degree with 2+ years’ experience or Bachelor’s Degree

Work Experience

  • 6 months of experience using AutoCAD in a professional environment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Create CNC files for production
  • Print/View drawings of record on selected orders
  • Review part numbers that are entered into the IFS system to ensure parts can be manufactured with specified limitations
  • Review selected part assemblies and parts to verify that they are within our site manufacturing limitations
  • Update the standard cost of part numbers in IFS and roll cost as required
  • Perform time studies on the production floor

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to do basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn the following computer programs to support job functions: IFS, EVA, Microsoft Office, and CNC programming using basic AutoCAD
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to support business objectives
  • The ability to work effectively and efficiently in a virtual team environment

  • Moderate noise and machinery exposure
  • Shift work may be required
