The company is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who will work with the various programs to ensure the drawing release schedule, development and updates of the kit bill of material, development of purchasing activities, and updates to support AvionX fabrication Instructions that are required to allow the coordination and to support the various customers that AvionX supports.

Support Quality, Liaison Engineering, and shop support activities on site and with other AvionX sites.

Education Level

• BSc Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

Work Experience

• 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining relationships/partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and cross-functional teams
• 3+ years of experience providing process improvements and integration strategies
• 3+ years of experience with developing and executing operating rhythms, integrated program schedules, project plans, or metrics
• 5+ years of experience with project management
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Close coordination with: AvionX Engineering teams, Lab engineers and technicians, program engineers, Boeing customers, fabrication technicians, and support personnel (material management), electrical and mechanical designers across AvionX and Enterprise
• Ensure Part sourcing for production with the various Production Control focal points
• Fabrication coordination for many labs and Technicians
• Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects, demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), ANSI, and ISO standards)
• Procurement of parts/materials to support Avionicx production, coordination with supplier management
• Review of design models and drawings, creating/reviewing redlines, and coordinating with design to incorporate updates
• Shipside (in the various Labs) support of hardware installation to include Test Rack’s
• Support the Authorship of manufacturing plans with the various programs to facilitate building

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Provides in-depth analysis of the project, culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans
• Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1+ years of experience with 3D modeling software (TeamCenter, 3DX)
• Active Secret DoD clearance
• Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan
• Experience developing and optimizing efficient manufacturing plans
• Experience generating/approving work instructions, work orders, and planning documents
• Experience with Team Center/Unigraphics and 3DX
• Oversight, and management responsibility (including performance mgmt. & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium-sized projects in support of AvionX goals and objectives
