The company is seeking a Maintenance Planner who will support the maintenance and project planning team to identify and plan routine maintenance activities.

No per diem, hiring local candidates only

Educational Qualification

  • No education level is mentioned, yet having a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • Possess 2 to 3 years of experience in a role as a maintenance, turnaround, or capital project planner
  • 4 years of craft work (boilermaker, pipefitter, welding, etc.) on-the-job experience, preferred
  • SAP experience (preferred)
  • Experience with P&IDs and ISO’s

Pre-employment Preferred Work Experience-

  • Ability to estimate material and labor quantities from industrial construction drawings for multiple craft disciplines
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of field planning experience or education in construction technology (NCCER certification, craft journeyman, or foreman in industrial construction or maintenance turnarounds is an additional benefit)
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have a strong background in both piping and structural work scope planning
  • Preferred experience in planning software applications. (Turner Applications WinTake®, QuickPlan®, and Win PCS® is an additional benefit)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Build field job plan packages.
  • Estimate extras, change orders, and discovery work items.
  • Maintain files of working documents and backup for estimate figures.
  • Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work, material, outside services, and sub-contractors.
  • Review specifications, drawings, etc. to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  • Reviews and incorporates historical data into the unit and man-hour estimates. Estimate and purchase materials required to complete the scope of work.

Primary Responsibilities/Task-

  • Determine options for the scope of work and present scenarios of compatible work packages or combinations of similar scope to the client
  • Determine resource and skill requirements for the scope of work
  • Document change orders request for deviations on drawings, changes in field conditions, or engineering busts
  • Document expectations of resource utilization and timing in client ERP system
  • Estimate scope of work in terms of direct craft labor hours and duration
  • Monitor and document the progress of the scope work within the client’s EPR system or Turner applications
  • Perform job walks and collaboratively with respective discipline Subject Matter Experts to develop job steps (activities), craft breakdown, and man-hours required
  • Perform material take-offs of repair or replace-in-kind work
  • Prepare subcontractor work packages for the bid process and work execution
  • Use client ERP systems to identify upcoming installations, maintenance, and repairs
