Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Maintenance Technician who will maximize the productive time of equipment.

Improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems.

Conduct PMs on a routine basis, making suggestions for improvement.

Troubleshoot equipment problems from a mechanical, electrical, and program basis, finding and resolving the root cause of problems.

Coordinate and assist with the equipment installation and start-up.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance or other related technical degree programs (desired) from a college or university

Note: an equivalent experience in an applicable area in addition to years of experience is a possible substitute for a degree

Work Experience

  • Must have 5+ years of maintenance experience
  • 2 years of experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley)
  • 5 years of experience with single and three-phase electrical system

Other Qualifications

  • Familiar with Siemens or Fanuc CNC Controls needed
  • Machining and welding capabilities required (Certified Welder is a plus)
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, fluid power, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Robotic background – a plus (Fanuc preferred)
  • Should be familiar with applicable regulatory requirements outlined by OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC, and other state/local organizations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in the quotation, purchase, and proper inventory management of maintenance supplies and equipment parts as required or directed.
  • Complete periodical and incidental machine maintenance in an accurate and timely manner. Perform tasks as outlined in preventative maintenance schedules of equipment manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
  • Follow safe work practices and support safety, quality, and productivity objectives
  • Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Plan and implement corrective action in conjunction with management direction.
  • Support engineering and other department projects as needed to accomplish the objective of the plant
  • Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on equipment, building, and grounds issues and implement correct remedies to minimize downtime
  • Utilizes designated tools and software to manage daily tasks and complete assigned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, electrical and hydraulic schematics, equipment manuals, and department work procedures.
  • Ability to work different shifts and holidays as required to support production and another engineering/maintenance projects
  • Computer literature, i.e., Microsoft-Office applications
  • Requires to work over-time as needed

Physical Demands

  • Push/Pull 20-40 lbs. of force 40 feet

  • Lighting – Adequate
  • Temperature – Non-temperature controlled. Humidity, heat, and cold are factors during the year
  • Ventilation-  Adequate. There is welding smoke from the process that is visible in the air
  • Work Environment – Manufacturing
