Job Profile

The company is seeking a Structural Welder who will be an integral part of the Ledcor Industrial team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants must possess a Journeyperson Welder holding a valid TIG ticket

Work Experience

• Possess previous welding experience in an industrial setting (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing parts, columns and beams to be welded, which may include cutting, punching, drilling, and bending material
• Perform general welder’s helper duties such as grinding, buffing, and weld set up
• Read and follow directions in given layouts, blueprints, and work orders
• Stick welding (SMAW) on carbon steel as well as overseeing any required TIG welds
• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the work
• Use and operate the welding equipment to fabricate and customize
• Welds parts and structural steel frames

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• EWP and Confined Space are an asset
• Ledcor requires possession of OSSA Regional with CSTS/BSO or CSO, Fall Protection
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions

• Charter Flights from either Edmonton or Calgary or travel allowance for out-of-province candidates who qualify
• Long-term projects, the site-based camp provided
