Job Profile
The company is seeking a Welder to join its team for building trades.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have an Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate, an Alberta-certified journeyperson, or a valid recognized credential
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Build up worn parts by welding layers of high-strength hard-metal alloys onto them.
- Clean, check for defects, and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch
- Develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders
- Weld parts together
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Eye-hand coordination
- Good vision (glasses are acceptable)
- Manual dexterity
- Patience
- Ability to concentrate on detailed work
Benefits/Perks
- A $60/day retention bonus for the duration of the T/A
- A premium of $2.50 above the JM rate
- Base wage plus applicable benefits, Stat/Vac pay, etc.
