Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder to join its team for building trades.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have an Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate, an Alberta-certified journeyperson, or a valid recognized credential

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Build up worn parts by welding layers of high-strength hard-metal alloys onto them.
  • Clean, check for defects, and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch
  • Develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders
  • Weld parts together

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Eye-hand coordination
  • Good vision (glasses are acceptable)
  • Manual dexterity
  • Patience
  • Ability to concentrate on detailed work

Benefits/Perks

  • A $60/day retention bonus for the duration of the T/A
  • A premium of $2.50 above the JM rate
  • Base wage plus applicable benefits, Stat/Vac pay, etc.
