Job Profile

The company is seeking a Gas Pipeline Fuser/Pipefitter who will install, troubleshoot, and maintain underground gas distribution piping systems in a safe manner, completing tasks in a timely manner.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess prior experience in the gas utility industry

Duties/Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and maintain piping systems and equipment for natural gas utilities
• Join piping by means of fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical coupled joints
• Load and unload equipment and materials; keep the worksite clean and organized free from unnecessary hazards
• Maintain all industry-required Operator Qualifications
• Verify specifications by performing quality assurance tests
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first
• Skill to operate equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities

Work Environment

• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; one must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50 lbs.); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Worksites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
