Job Profile

The company is hiring a Gas Pipeline Fuser/Pipefitter who will install, troubleshoot, and maintain underground gas distribution piping systems in a safe manner, completing tasks promptly.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess 1+ years prior experience in pipe fitting/fusing in the gas utility industry

Duties/Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and maintain piping systems and equipment for natural gas utilities
• Join piping by means of fusion, electrofusion, or mechanically coupled joints
• Load and unload equipment and materials; keep the worksite clean and organized free from unnecessary hazards
• Maintain all industry-required Operator Qualifications
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership
• Verify specifications by performing quality assurance tests

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be fluent in English

Work Environment

• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50 lbs.); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Worksites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner

Legal Requirements

• Join and maintain Union membership
• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
