Job Profile

The company is looking to hire a Labourer (Spot Repair Welder) who will be responsible to touch up the weld overlay using a welding machine after the welding process on the automated machines has been completed.

CCO Spot Repair is a touch-up/quality process to ensure products of completed to clients’ specifications. 

Educational Qualification

• CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
• Confined space entry and monitor ticket
• Gas testing
• Overhead crane and rigging ticket/training
• PSC confined space training video and test
• Respirator fit testing

Work Experience

• Possess previous experience working on an industrial site (an asset, but not required)

Duties/Responsibilities

Tasks-

• Apply overlay touch-ups using a welding machine
• Buff/grind pipe using a grinder
• Confined space watch
• Cutting pipe using a plasma cutter
• Move materials and equipment using manual lifting/handling
• Move materials and equipment using a pallet jack
• Operate overhead crane
• Organize tools and materials as required
• Rig spools and materials and equipment
• Sweep/clean fabrication shop

Other duties as required-

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be able to work in a confined space for extended periods of time
• Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs.
