Job Profile

The company is seeking a Machinist Welder who will support engineering and maintenance operations by leading improvements in project safety management and driving factory operating cost reductions by identifying and maintaining infrastructure.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
• Machining/tool and die certification (a plus)
• Welding certification (a plus)

Work Experience

• Possess welding experience in TIG, MIG types
• Apprenticeship or vocational training (preferred)
• Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly

Duties/Responsibilities

• Able to layout, and fabricate framing and sheet metal.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
• Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
• Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
• Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate parts.
• Run and set up CNC mills and lathes, a plus.
• Selects the appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
• Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
• Willing to work overtime and holidays.
• Work with stainless steel and plastics.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week on an assigned shift with some daily overtime and weekend overtime.
• Proficient in math
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Working knowledge of safety protocols
