Job Profile
The company is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will perform all maintenance work as assigned by the Maintenance Planner or the Maintenance Lead or Adviser according to the specifications as outlined in applicable Visual Work Instruction and proactive maintenance techniques.
Be responsible for responding to production calls when needed.
Perform each assignment using the appropriate replacement parts and coordinates the schedule for the work with the Maintenance Team Leader and production leadership as needed.
Perform work to maximize process reliability and minimize negative impacts on production schedules.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Installing, repairing, replacing, and dismantling the machinery and heavy equipment utilized in the plant, including the ammonia, and refrigeration units, if qualified in Energy Systems.
- Rebuilding/building miscellaneous parts needed in various locations in the plant; general building maintenance and upkeep.
- Perform more tasks throughout the building.
- Must perform all PCP and CCP checks required for the position.
- Follow the reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality, and Customer Requirement outages and by contacting the leader.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 51 pounds consistently throughout the shift
- Computer Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Facility maintenance including painting and basic electrical
- Machine shop
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance on file
- Mathematical skills
- Mill and Lathe
- Organizational skills
- Weekend/overtime work is required on a rotating basis
- Welding Skills
