Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Maintenance Technician who will assist with the installation and maintenance of both manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This will include a variety of basic disciplines; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and ventilation, carpentry, grounds, etc.

Also, maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and acceptable manner.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants may be required a High School Diploma

Work Experience

• Requires 5 or more years of experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adhere to the company’s health and safety guidelines and policies – inclusive of using all PPE as mandated.
• Detect and report faulty operations, materials, and working conditions to the supervisor.
• Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and acceptable manner.
• Maintain the work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and orderly manner.
• The ability to assist with the installation and maintenance of facility systems; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and ventilation, carpentry, grounds, welding, etc.
• Utilize and promote 5S tools and practices to sustain a high standard of cleanliness and safety both in the shop and throughout the facility.
• Cross-train as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to use Word, Excel, and email
• General working knowledge of all aspects of industrial maintenance
• Mechanical and construction aptitude
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Replacement tools will be provided by the company if personal tools are damaged on the job
• Will need to provide own tools
• Willingness to work any shift as needed to meet maintenance and project needs
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime due to inclement weather and clean up

Physical Demands

• Physical fitness to perform all job functions of the designated work area. This includes hand/power tool use, standing, full arm and leg range of motion, bending, lifting, walking, crouching, kneeling, working in awkward positions, talking, and hearing.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee must regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift or move up to 70 pounds.
