Job Profile

The company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the current manufacturing and facilitating the continuous improvement processes associated with the manufacturing methods and processes.

To develop solutions for production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling.

Supports new products and programs by developing new processes, designing tooling and machinery, and developing production controls.

Responsible for set-up of new equipment, ensuring proper operation of the new equipment, and teaching others the proper use of this equipment.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering or B.Sc. Industrial Engineering degree with a concentration of coursework in Industrial Technology or Industrial Engineering from a college/university

Work Experience

  • Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, with a tool or machine design experience.
  • Experience in capital appropriation evaluation and analysis (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
  • Designs tools or machines of varying types for use in the manufacture of company products.
  • Develops and performs time studies on manufacturing processes.
  • Develops labor standards for new and existing products and processes.
  • Develops processes, methods, tooling, and production controls for new products and programs; supervises their assembly and proofing.
  • Knowledge of NCP programs and associated processes.
  • Plans and sets up for process introduction of new products into the plant.
  • Redesigns, repairs, or replaces in-process production program equipment, production control hardware, and tooling.
  • Serves as an alternate member of the Quality/MRB team attending meetings and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Sets up, operation, and training on new equipment for employees.
  • Stays informed concerning new manufacturing technology and equipment and investigates their potential applications.
  • Writes justifications for capital equipment expenditures as associated with Hattiesburg-based manufacturing improvements.
  • Writes procedures for the operation of new or existing equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), Visio, AutoCAD, and Inventor, as well as Internet software and E-mail (required)
