Job Profile
The company is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer II who will oversee and maintain axle and suspension fabrication and assembly processes.
Concept or design fixtures and tooling concurrent with product design.
Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing and maintenance functions to solve chronic or complex problems.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants require a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a college/university
Work Experience
- Possess 5 to 8 years of manufacturing experience
- Welding and robotics experience (preferred)
- Experience in time studies, line balance, and fixture design (CREO, Inventor)
- Experience communicating and working with all levels within an organization in a professional and reliable manner
Other Qualifications
- Background in developing product evaluations based on analysis data
- CNC Machining knowledge (preferred)
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of programming and PLC logic
- Knowledge of tooling selection and optimization (required)
- Strong knowledge of CNC Machine Programming
- Suspension System knowledge (preferred)
- Training in computer-aided drafting techniques
Duties/Responsibilities
- Continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variable and fixed manufacturing costs.
- Define product and process improvements for potential cost savings.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective, robust, ergonomic, and safe Manufacturing processes.
- Familiar with the APQP process associated with launching new products.
- Participate in Simultaneous Product Process Development Teams as required.
- Support customers with resolutions to concerns and enhancements for existing applications.
- Support IATF 16949, and ISO 9001 certification initiatives.
- Work with plant engineering group, quality department, and production to aid in daily manufacturing issues.
- Work with Product Development on design for manufacturability for current and future products.
- All other duties as assigned.
