Job Profile
The company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will determine the most cost-effective method of manufacturing components with existing equipment/facilities.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a college/university
Work Experience
- Possess 3 to 5 years prior experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- CNC Machine and Plasma Table programming experience (highly preferred)
- Fixture and tool design experience (a plus)
- Previous SAP Experience (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of cost-saving measures through the continuous improvement process (Kaizen).
- Assist in tool design and manufacturing process development.
- Cross-functional opportunities for Business Unit to include quality, supervision, and scheduling functions.
- Investigate and implement safety and ergonomic changes in the manufacturing setting.
- Prepare justification documentation for capital expenditures.
- Provide technical support/training to direct labor employees.
- Supply cost estimates to marketing for new and existing product lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve re-occurring manufacturing process issues.
- Work closely with product engineering in product changes/new product introductions.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Competent skills in MS Office suite of applications
