Job Profile
The company is seeking a Manufacturing Lead who will join an innovative team that supports clean energy solutions.
Lead the shift team to achieve delivery against company performance targets and customer requirements.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should possess a Red Seal Machinist, Welding, or Millwright certification or have a background in one of these areas
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role with supervisor’s courses
Duties/Responsibilities
- Act in a supervisory capacity in the employee adherence to the Company Health and Safety Policy.
- Carry out the effective start of shift team meetings with the production team and brief priorities
- Offer recommendations for improving shop performance with respect to fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
- Recommend manpower adjustments to support short-term high workloads in specific areas (i.e. large shipments going out, etc.)
- Responsible for performance discussions and informal counselling with team members
- Support daily project work by a selection of personnel assignments, machine selections, requisitioning of tooling, and liaison with production control to help set up work packages in the proper sequence to support schedules.
- Support timesheet completion and review.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Technical expertise in machining, welding, assembly, and testing
- Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, and SAP experience (an asset)
