Job Profile

The company is hiring a Mig/Tig Industrial Welder who will be responsible for operating production equipment specifically for the welding and fabrication of products.

Educational Qualification

Work Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years MIG/TIG Welding
  • AWS Weld Certified
  • Minimum of 1 year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and using simple measuring tools
  • Basic computer skills

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
  • ID and tag shop orders with the product.
  • Retrieve/enter data into the system.
  • Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
  • Perform 5S and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Set up, understand, and proficiently operate all welding equipment.
  • Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
  • Weld components based on print specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and close attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending
  • Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate
  • Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
  • Ability to stand for eight hours or more and perform repetitious tasks
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed by the business
  • Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, and sparks.
  • Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high-noise areas)
  • Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
  • Working knowledge of weld operations, including MIG, TIG of stainless steel or aluminum

Other Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
  • Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
