Job Profile
The company is hiring a Mig/Tig Industrial Welder who will be responsible for operating production equipment specifically for the welding and fabrication of products.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent from an accredited institution
Work Experience
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years MIG/TIG Welding
- AWS Weld Certified
- Minimum of 1 year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and using simple measuring tools
- Basic computer skills
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
- ID and tag shop orders with the product.
- Retrieve/enter data into the system.
- Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
- Perform 5S and Continuous Improvement activities.
- Set up, understand, and proficiently operate all welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
- Weld components based on print specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and close attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending
- Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate
- Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
- Ability to stand for eight hours or more and perform repetitious tasks
- Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed by the business
- Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, and sparks.
- Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high-noise areas)
- Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.
- Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
- Working knowledge of weld operations, including MIG, TIG of stainless steel or aluminum
Other Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
- Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
