Job Profile

The company is looking for a Millwright who will install or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants may be required a High School Diploma
• NCCER Certified (preferred)

Work Experience

• Possess 4 years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Written pre-employment qualification test
• Must have verifiable millwright experience
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation

Duties/Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Dismantles machines
• Moves machinery and equipment
• Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines, and blowers
• Aligns machines and equipment using the reverse alignment method
• Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to the foundation or other structures
• May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
• May repair and lubricate machines and equipment
• May be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates
