Job Profile

The company is searching for a Pipe Welder who will be involved in the joining of pipe, steel, beams, vessels, and other metal components.

This work may exist indoors or outdoors and may be physically demanding.

Educational Qualification

• Must be an Alberta registered journeyman (or hold a journeyman certificate recognized by AIT)
• Alberta B-Pressure Certificate
• CSTS-09, CSTS-20, or CSO
• WHMIS certificate

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• Clean and check weld for defects
• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Join or sever metals in beams, vessels, piping, and other metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the requirements of the job
• Utilize different processes and fillers depending on the Client’s requirements
• May perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to work well in a team environment
• ESC Fall Protection
• Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. and climb in/under units in the field
• Organized and self-motivated
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment
