Job Profile

The company’s Division (Specialty Papers Division, Espanola Operations) is looking for a Pipefitter/Steamfitter to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants must have Certification (Pipefitter/Steamfitter 307-A)
• Gas Fitter and Plumber (306-A) certification (an asset)
• Must have certification to operate scissor lifts, etc.

Work Experience

• Possess 5+ years of experience pipefitting within an industrial environment
• Experience in Fiberglass piping and installation would be an asset
• Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry is a definite asset
• Experience with computer systems such as SAP, Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and CadDraw would be a definite asset
• Experience with erecting and dismantling scaffolds would be a definite asset
• High pressure or structural welding experience would be a definite asset

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lay, cut, fit, thread, and install piping
• Read/interpret instructions and documentation and plan work activities accordingly
• Weld piping and assemblies as necessary/required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced changing environment
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Good working knowledge of computer software and applications such as Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) process
• Must have the ability to work from blueprints and Isometric drawings, create weld maps, and perform hydrostatic testing
• Possess excellent communication skills – written and verbal
