Job Profile

The company is seeking a Production Assembler who will be responsible for assembling and testing production for the aviation industry with a focus on maintaining the highest quality, safety, and on-time delivery of goods to customers.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • Experience in a production environment
  • Experience with SAP (a plus)
  • Familiarity with wiring harnesses, soldering, drilling, AC & DC currents
  • Prior electromechanical assembly experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering with prototype builds.
  • Assist engineering with resolving assembly complications.
  • Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
  • Document assemblies by completing production and quality forms.
  • Follow safe work practices and procedures and ensure a “safety first” culture in every task undertaken.
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
  • Maintain the tools used to create products.
  • Test finished products for proper operation.
  • Upon completion of a work order, transfer the product to Quality Control
  • Work with Quality Control on the maintenance of calibrated equipment.
  • Prepares to complete each assembly work order specifically according to –
  • CAD drawings and other engineering blueprints
  • proper hand and power tools and PPE
  • standard operating procedure
  • technical work instructions and specifications
  • wiring diagrams

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and carefully follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good computer skills, such as the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Work Environment

  • Exposure to noise, machinery, and sometimes chemicals
  • Fast-paced, repetitive tasks on assembly lines
  • May require standing for long hours
  • Teamwork and meeting production quotas are essential
  • Use of safety gear like gloves, goggles, or ear protection
