Job Profile

The company (NOV Rig Technologies) is looking for a Quality Control Inspector who will support the facility’s repair business in quality control inspection and ensure conformance or compliance to customers’, regulations, and company requirements and, the Global QA/BPA standard, procedure, and process. Primary responsibilities include performing NDE, and visual and dimensional inspection.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering field.
• Certified NDE Level II Inspector ASNT-TC-1A or CWIP on MPI, LPI

Work Experience

• Experience of various inspection requirements – Welding, PMI-Materials, Quality Plan, Inspection Test Plan, NDE Methods, CMM-Dimension, International Standards i.e. API, ASME, ISO etc.
• Experience working with ISO 9001/API-Q1 QMS standards.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audit as per SLM standard requirements.
• Control of inspection tools or QC process equipment.
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of process equipment used for test, inspection and report i.e. approved calibration, active calibration validity, acceptable tolerance etc.
• Perform qualified NDE, visual and dimensional inspection (initial, in-process and final QC inspection).
• Provide identification and traceability report of critical parts/items in standard format.
• Provide QC report for all inspections in a standard format and upload report in RigOffice (DMS).
• Provide recommended repair scope of equipment after D&I, reference to BOM, drawing, PIB.
• Report and record all nonconforming or quality issue for investigation/RCA on PIMS and to initiate the CAR/PAR to responsible Business Units Lead for quality improvement.
• Witness, review, and certify pressure test records, layout inspection (QP/ITP), and external work.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to perform QMS and supplier audits
• Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Good English written and communication.
• Good understanding of API Q1 and API 16A.
• Knowledge and qualifications to perform NDE inspection of LPI and MPI.
