Job Profile

The company is searching for a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician who will perform general, preventative, and emergency maintenance of facilities and Mechanical equipment.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5-10 years of work experience with manufacturing equipment maintenance

License/Certification

  • Working knowledge of the NEC and must be certified in NFPA 70E

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in building remodeling, department renovations, and equipment moves and installations, and assist in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facilities
  • Assist in facility maintenance and upkeep as needed.
  • Complete all required Paperwork daily.
  • Complete work orders as prioritized by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic problems.
  • Emergency repairs can result in working outside of normal scheduled hours.
  • Inspect and lubricate all key equipment as per set schedules.
  • Install, train, provide technical knowledge, and logical troubleshooting skills for equipment systems.
  • Keep current on all new equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain and repair production and support equipment to as good as or better than OEM standards, always follow all applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as required by the CMMS
  • Technical knowledge and logical troubleshooting skills

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to interpret and update electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic prints and schematics.
  • Able to navigate the Computer Maintenance Management system.
  • Able to use various measuring devices, i.e., Calipers, drop indicators, load cells, multi-meter, etc.
  • Have advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Interpersonal skills, communication skills-verbal and written, and listening skills.
  • Metal fabrication, pipe fitting, rigging, and moving of equipment.
  • Proficient with computers and mobile devices.
  • Working knowledge of electricity up to 480 volts, HVAC, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment
  • Works to a high degree of accuracy mechanically

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to install electrical equipment and perform circuit modifications.
  • Ability to interpret and update mechanical prints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of electricity up to 480 volts
  • Mechanical understanding of stamping presses, feeders, straighteners, tool room, and other support equipment.
  • Must be trained in lockout/tagout regulations and procedures.
  • Prior building remodeling or new construction experience
  • Prior machine-building or modification experience.
  • Working knowledge of Arc Flash Protection
  • Working knowledge of lubricants and lubricating systems

Work Environment

  • Arc Flash rated clothing and shields as required by NFPA 70E when working on live circuits.
  • Do precision work in a manufacturing environment with noise and vibration.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and push/pull carts with weights up to 2500 lbs.
  • Must wear company shirt, protective shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection in loud noise environments
  • Rubber gloves, Goggles, and a mask when working with hazardous chemicals
