Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Senior Process Engineer who will provide process engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the process engineering team.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent

Work Experience

  • 8+ years of experience (preferred)
  • Experience in petrochemical and refining with project design, execution, and construction.
  • On-site or in-refinery experience
  • Refinery experience
  • Oil and Gas experience
  • Saudi Aramco experience

License/Certification

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assisting asset/client Lead Project Engineers in the definition of the Process engineering work in any project, design approach, and criteria, procedures for engineering work, and timely production of deliverables.
  • Complete complex process design activities, including simulation.
  • Coordination and preparation of input to Essential Process Documents, as defined by the client/contract. Where responsibility for update of the Master Documents is handed to the Lead Process Engineer, procedures shall be put in place to maintain document integrity.
  • Coordination of Process engineering design and drafting.
  • Liaison with client discipline representatives to establish technical direction where not provided by codes and standards.
  • Liaison with other disciplines, Lead engineers on technical issues and engineering matters.
  • Planning of man-hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings, and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Engineering Manager.
  • Scope definition, estimation, and progress control of the Process engineering activities.
  • Technical direction, advice, and control of the Process work.
  • The overall supervision of the Process discipline work on a project.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of process engineering and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • Competent use of process engineering-specific software.
  • Competent use of relevant software such as the MS Office Suite.
  • Expert knowledge of process simulation packages such as HYSYS or PRO 11.
  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to Worley and its customers.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Substantial technical land practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industry, including experience working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
