Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Senior Process Engineer who will provide process engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the process engineering team.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent
Work Experience
- 8+ years of experience (preferred)
- Experience in petrochemical and refining with project design, execution, and construction.
- On-site or in-refinery experience
- Refinery experience
- Oil and Gas experience
- Saudi Aramco experience
License/Certification
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assisting asset/client Lead Project Engineers in the definition of the Process engineering work in any project, design approach, and criteria, procedures for engineering work, and timely production of deliverables.
- Complete complex process design activities, including simulation.
- Coordination and preparation of input to Essential Process Documents, as defined by the client/contract. Where responsibility for update of the Master Documents is handed to the Lead Process Engineer, procedures shall be put in place to maintain document integrity.
- Coordination of Process engineering design and drafting.
- Liaison with client discipline representatives to establish technical direction where not provided by codes and standards.
- Liaison with other disciplines, Lead engineers on technical issues and engineering matters.
- Planning of man-hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings, and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Engineering Manager.
- Scope definition, estimation, and progress control of the Process engineering activities.
- Technical direction, advice, and control of the Process work.
- The overall supervision of the Process discipline work on a project.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of process engineering and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- Competent use of process engineering-specific software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as the MS Office Suite.
- Expert knowledge of process simulation packages such as HYSYS or PRO 11.
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Substantial technical land practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industry, including experience working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
