Job Profile

The company is seeking a Toolmaker I who will be responsible for performing daily metal working assignments in a professional manner with little direct supervision.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• Associate’s Degree in Technical Field or Tool and Die Journeyman (preferred)

Work Experience

• 5 years of experience in the tooling field (required)
• Graduate of 4-year Tool and Die Apprenticeship program

Duties/Responsibilities

• Analyze the assignment and proceed in a professional, timely manner until the assignment is complete Inform the lead of project progress and completion
• Complete assignments within proper quality specifications and in a safe manner
• Provide training assistance to Toolmaker II when required
• Fit, assemble, and troubleshoot dies, molds, and assembly equipment, etc.
• Interpret tooling specifications, blueprints, sketches, etc. Plan sequence of operations for fabricating components
• Make or repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, including CNC controlled, and other machining equipment, etc.
• Take direction from the section lead or from the Tool Room Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must have the ability to communicate in verbal and written English
• Must have the ability to utilize Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
