The company is searching for a Weld Operator 2 to join its team for various needs.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants should have a High School Education or GED
Work Experience
- The candidates should have 1 year of manufacturing experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Apply principles learned within multiple departments as needed.
- Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or ideas, etc.
- Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
- Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
- Maintain welding equipment as needed
- Must pass review for workmanship, procedure reviews, operator assessment, and refresher training
- Operate computer programs on the robotic, orbital, and laser welder
- Operate weld equipment such as robotic welder, orbital welder, and laser welder
- Other duties as required.
- Participate in and support team initiatives.
- Perform a visual inspection of welds
- Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
- Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
- Utilize proper PPE and safety equipment
- Verify and change tools when necessary.
- Work in compliance with NADCAP requirements
Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a self-directed teaming environment
- Knowledge of weld principles
- Knowledge of welding
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (i.e. dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within the department.
- Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
- Familiarity with basic weld and fusion principles.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations involving decimals, ratios, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Visual acuity exam required
- Willingness and ability to use basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Other Requirements
- This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
