Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder who will be responsible for welding on most equipment fabricated onsite. This includes our fans and the housing they go in. Each weld takes precision and skill.

Ensure our industrial fans meet the high-quality standards our customers are accustomed to getting.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants require a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• Possess a combination of training and welding experience (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste
• Ensure work meets quality standards
• Learn best practices from team leaders and other team members to improve your knowledge and skill levels
• Look for Safety Issues with equipment and processes
• Obtain an understanding of the task and develop an action plan
• Participate in improvement projects
• Participate in tier meetings
• Practice safety in all aspects of the job and participate in safety improvement programs
• Recommend process improvements on idea boards
• Review drawings and welding details for this job.
• Review project assignments and instructions from Team Leader
• Set up welding machine and other required equipment
• Understand the Principles of Lean Manufacturing (the 5S System should be followed in work areas)
• Weld assemblies per the required standards

Preferred Qualifications

• A “can do” attitude and a willingness and desire to learn to build your skills as a welder
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds on all fabricated components
• Ability to pass AWS D1.1 welding qualifications as well as AWS D14.6 if it applies to their shop
• Read and understand Robinson weld detail drawings, welding procedures, and shop travelers.
• Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communication
