Job Profile

The company is seeking a Mechanical Technician (Steamfitter) to join its maintenance team.

The position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a valid Interprovincial Steamfitter Certification

Work Experience

  • Possess experience in the pulp and paper industry (an asset)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lay out, fabricate, and construct the industrial process and pressure piping including hydraulic, and pneumatic in both stainless and mild steel
  • Must be able to interpret schematics as well as machine detail drawings
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs to hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Solid computer skills and experience with electronic work orders
  • A positive work attitude and a keen sense of responsibility, particularly with respect to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
