Job Profile
The company is looking for a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a college/university
Work Experience
- Possess 0 to 5 years of related engineering experience
- Autodesk Inventor 3-D CAD software experience (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical tooling solutions including underwater fixtures and robotics.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs), and tooling rigor for associated tooling.
- Interpret BWR assembly drawings and specifications for analysis.
- Perform general problem-solving to unique issues.
- Provide innovative and practical repair and maintenance solutions that ensure high-quality products in accordance with customers’ expectations.
- Support and design customers’ solutions for field delivery issues.
- Support specific field project delivery teams in the operation and maintenance of tooling at customer sites as well as maintenance facilities.
- Support specific tooling projects including planning, implementing, and financial reporting to the business.
- Travel 40-60% of the time to both domestic and international sites.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to achieve Customer 1st or Six Sigma certification
- Ability to obtain/maintain Unescorted Site Access including drug screening processes
- Ability to work without management oversight, (self-starter)
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning
- Demonstrated competencies in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Knowledge of the ASME/AWS codes
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic work environment with changing issues and customer demands
- Knowledge of welding design, structural analysis, and fabrication
- Work in a team atmosphere and interface well with internal and external customers
