Job Profile
The company is seeking a Header Welder who will play a key role in the manufacturing process.
Must be willing to work overtime and pass 2 weld tests – a 6G Tig test on carbon steel 2” pipe and a 2G weld test.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants require a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Possess 1 to 3 years of related experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to lay out, burn holes, fit and weld nozzles
- Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness
- Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process
- Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques
- Makes quality visual U.T. and x-ray welds
- Performs a variety of tasks
- Promotes and supports safety and production
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- May be required to complete an apprenticeship or formal training in an area of specialty
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Ability to operate overhead-crane
- Familiarity with welding machines and hand tools
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Ability to work different shifts
- Ability to pass 6G Tig test on carbon steel 2” pipe
- Ability and willingness to learn to operate basic cutting equipment
- Ability to lift
- Possesses positive attitude
