Job Profile
The company is looking for a Machinist/Millwright to join the Plant Maintenance team.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants should have a Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Machinist or Millwright recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
Work Experience
- The candidates should have 2 years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform skilled work at the journeyman level in the installation, movement, maintenance, fabrication/construction, and repair of hospital equipment using tools and equipment such as lathes, drill presses, cutters, electric arc and gas welders, grinders, drills, rigging, and a variety of hand tools.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
