Job Profile
The company is hiring a Maintenance Technician II who will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building.
The applicants will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition to developing skills, you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
- 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment
- 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
Duties/Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
- Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Operations facility
- Move up to 49 lbs. as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Track and store department inventory
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
- Project Management experience
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform tasks wearing a mask, face shield, and composite toed boots
- Ability to perform tasks wearing a mask, face shield, and composite toed boots
- Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work including walking 6 to 12 miles per day
- Must have the ability to reach arms above head, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment
- Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
- Regularly required to type on a computer or stand-up desk and for 1-2 hours per day
- Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
