Job Profile
The company is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer who will contribute to the Clean Air business group. The individual will be guided for process improvements to the manufacturing activities.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants require a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a college/university
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a large manufacturing environment.
- Automotive supplier experience (highly preferred)
- Stainless steel MIG/TIG welding, and experience with welding automation experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Accuracy, good attendance, and attitude of a team player.
- Evaluates and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Facilitate projects aimed at investigating, analyzing, and implementing process improvements to meet planned runs at rates and standard costs.
- Lead Kaizen teams for process improvements
- Participate in APQP, Corrective Actions, and MRB (material review board).
- Plans and implements continuous improvement projects.
- Responsible for PFMEAs, PPAP, process validation, and calculating KANBAN levels.
- Reviews product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Successfully and timely launch processes, at planned production rate and quality requirements, within budget.
- Use Lean Manufacturing techniques (5S, SMED, Poke-Yoke) for continuous improvement.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization
- Familiar with and able to apply lean manufacturing concepts
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
