Job Profile
The company is searching for a Manufacturing Surveillance Equipment Engineer who will control all the manufacturing technical issues on the scope of UK suppliers for some specific HPC and SZC projects.
Educational Qualification
- Chartered Engineer, M.Sc. or Equivalent
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant science or engineering discipline (Bac+)
- Recognized advanced welding diploma/certificate (at least International Welding Engineer or equivalent)
- Specific Technical Specification – CP2E – CASE N°1
- Technical Assistance (IME06355 A1 V2)
Work Experience
- Experience in documentation review/check for manufacturing of mechanical equipment: at least 3 years
Duties/Responsibilities
- Performing the technical review of manufacturing procedures, exemptions requests
- Producing contractual offers (Surveillance Offers) for manufacturing surveillance activities to be performed (documents and in-shop)
- Producing the surveillance plan for manufacturing documents
NCRs-
- Producing clearance notes (which purpose is to report to project whether the surveillance carried out on the components is in accordance with their associated SOs, and highlight the gaps if any)
- Contributing to the production of contractual technical requirements for manufacturing operations
- Being responsible for the capitalization of OPEX regarding manufacturing issues
- Taking part in manufacturing kick-off meetings
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Knowledge of HPC project
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing
- Knowledge of nuclear safety requirements
- Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment
- Ability to manage the interactions with a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to remain focused under pressure, thinking clearly and objectively
- Able to work as part of a team
- Committed to delivering to quality and schedule
- Enjoys a challenging technical environment with multiple and urgent demands
- Good self-organization of work and the ability to manage several workstreams simultaneously
- Good writing skills
- Rigorous, serious, and highly committed
Other Requirements
- C2 Page 2 | 6
- Knowledge of regulations, codes/standards related to the manufacturing of steel components (and preferably in the nuclear industry)
- Languages: the upper intermediate level at least (B2 and above in the CEFR), in both French and English
